Can someone explains it ? This one seems to be tuff.
The word is "lazy". When she was a girl she had corsets, lace petticoats and silk stockings all to wash and iron before her first appointment each evening.
I wish I had known Mother back then!
Her daughter is precociously 'HOT' sexually and a 'COMMUNIST' politically.
So 'Why you Socialist Slut' would be her handy expression whenever she's angry and sees red.
Today's word is acknowledge.
Katie has changed somehow. Mother will not acknowledge this. She doesn't want to know.

This may be one of the best MFD entries ever. It's certainly in the top ten. Subtlety for the win!

I'm going to go ahead and assume the expression is just 'slut' or 'whore' or something (without the political propaganda).
Every girl I've known that intimately secretly suspects her mother at least thinks that about her, whether she voices it or not, and regardless if it's true or not.
I think this is one for the girls only; a good one at that.
